26 July 1939 
Dover Direct, B visa. As domestic, para 13. Green card D 7045. St Veronica's Home. St George's Terrace, Herne Bay, Kent. Who applied. No position. 

27.7.1939 Wife had to leave post as it was not a private post.

8 February 1940 Staying 91 Dartmouth Road, Hostel. Letter from Willesden General [a hospital] saying that she is pregnant and not fit for hostel life. 

12 February Transferred to Domestic

15 April 1940 leaving for USA on late April Cunard together with husband. Has one large trunk, 1 suitcase, which we advised her to have collected by Carter Paterson and taken to Euston Station. We pay account on presentation to us.
